RP 8: Motion Systems

Goal: To research and develop further some of the non-conventional motion systems studied earlier in ATL. Some of the motion systems have a biomimetic background and offer potential advances for GIM movement on natural terrain on Earth or in a planetary environment. Because of the very wide area of possibilities, only few of the systems will be chosen. Generic features of the chosen motion systems will be studied and demonstrated in the INTEGRATOR project. Also other specific projects for this topic will be established depending on the partnerís interest to develop fully new prototypes.
